Basic Safety Training / STCW / BST and Refresher Course
STCW stands for the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It sets minimum training and certification standards for seafarers worldwide to enhance maritime safety, prevent marine pollution, and ensure the quality of ship operations. The convention mandates various training programs and competencies, ensuring that crew members are adequately prepared to perform their duties at sea.
OCCP (Orientation Courses for Catering Personnel in Ship)
Orientation courses for catering personnel on ships are designed to equip staff with essential skills and knowledge for working in a maritime environment. These courses typically cover topics such as food safety and hygiene standards, catering operations, customer service, cultural sensitivity, and emergency procedures. Trainees learn how to work efficiently in the confined spaces of a ship's galley, manage resources effectively, and adapt to the unique challenges of life at sea. The goal is to ensure that catering personnel can provide high-quality service while adhering to maritime regulations and contributing to the overall experience of passengers and crew.
